Horse Race Course in Meran

The Hippodrome in Meran is one of the most beautiful race courses in Europe and only a stones throw from the Landhaus Hotel Kristall in Marling near Meran. The first races for the aristocratic cure guests took place in 1896.
One of the highlights is the traditional gallop race of Haflinger horses, which takes place on Easter Monday every year for the start of the season. Young riders present their Haflinger horses in traditional costumes. Another highlight of the race season is the event "Großer Preis von Meran", which takes place on the last Sunday in September.
These highly remunerated races are very popular in the horse-riding scene. You can watch these sports events live from the suites in the Landhaus Hotel Kristall in Marling.
